Double Glass Return – Padel

A difficult shot to return, is where the ball hits the back glass first and then hits the side glass. Many players start turning their bodies as soon as the ball hits the back glass while this isn’t always necessary.

These steps for the technique will help you handle the double glass ball without turning:

  • Allow the ball to pass close by you and start turning your body sideways
  • Keep watching the ball and take your racket back with the racket face open
  • Judge the distance from the side glass and start moving into forward position
  • Contact the ball in front of your body and allow yourself space from the side glass
  • Make sure you have a balanced finish
