Take the net

In padel you have to take the net position to be in the attacking position. Most of the time you will take the net position by your serve or a good lob. When your lob is not good, do not come to the net. You will not have enough time to go to the right net position. Your lob is good when it goes over the head of your opponent, so you have time to take the net. When you are at the net position, you need to force your opponents back and not rush the points.

Keep the net

When you have got lobbed by your opponent and you play the bandeja, you have to come forward again. If you do not keep the right net position, you will get in trouble. You are going to watch the ball instead of getting fast to the right position. You want to come close to the net, between the second post of the cage and the net. When you are moved back by your opponents, hit a deep bandeja, so you have the time to get the net position back. Sometimes you have to play four or five bandejas before you can finish the point.

No Mans Land

No Mans Land is the place on the court between the back of the court and the net position. There are two main areas of getting stuck into No Mans Land. The first one is that people do not move fast and deep enough to the net. They are struggling between the back of the court and the net position. You want to make sure that you are moving further than the second post. The second one is that people are getting lobbed and do not move all the way back or to the front. They take not the right position back after a lob.
