The Padel School's 2023 US and St Maarten Trip
In August 2023, The Padel School travelled to the United States and St Maarten for a series of lessons, workshops, clinics and community events.
The trip was designed to share coaching knowledge, work with local clubs and learn more about how padel communities were developing in different markets.
Where did we go?
Beverly Hills, Los Angeles
The first stop was Los Angeles, where the team delivered private lessons, introductory sessions and matchplay sessions with local padel players.
One of the interesting features of the market at the time was the growth of private courts and small communities developing around them.
St Maarten, Caribbean
The team then travelled to St Maarten to work with the local padel community and share coaching ideas in a very different sporting environment.
The visit highlighted how padel could develop even in smaller markets when a committed local community forms around the sport.
Chicago, Illinois
The final stop was Chicago, where The Padel School worked with local players and clubs through clinics, exhibitions and community sessions.
What was the aim?
The trip was about more than delivering coaching sessions. It was an opportunity to exchange ideas, understand how padel was developing in different regions and build relationships with clubs and players outside the UK.
